Cookie Policy

This Policy describes how the Tuqo service (https://tuqo.ru) uses cookies and similar technologies (including the browser's localStorage and sessionStorage).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the browser and uses to recognize the device, save settings and collect statistics. The localStorage and sessionStorage stores are treated as equivalent to them.

2. Types of cookies used

• Necessary: required for the Service to work (authentication, security, keeping the session); always applied.
• Functional: remember settings (the color theme, etc.); improve convenience.
• Analytics: collect anonymized visit statistics (Yandex Metrica).
• Marketing: not used; no advertising, retargeting or profiling is carried out with cookies.

This Policy applies to the Service's own websites (https://tuqo.ru and its subdomains). The Operator does not set cookies or add code to pages for analytics on sites hosted by Users. In the basic mode, traffic statistics for such sites are counted by the serving server. The User enables the extended mode, which places code, themselves, and in that case the User bears the obligations towards the visitors of their site (Terms of Service, clause 17.2). The service badge of the free plan does not use cookies either.

The only exception is the service cookie for gated access. It appears only if the User has restricted access to their site themselves (with a password, an email code, a channel subscription, member sign-up or paid access): the visitor signs in on the login screen, and the Service stores a signed pass in their browser so that access does not have to be checked again on every page. This is a technical necessity of the feature itself, not analytics: the pass contains no information about the visitor, is not used for profiling, and is limited to the domain of a single site and to the access period. Open sites have no such cookie.

3. List of cookies

Necessary:

• __Host-tuqo_session: an httpOnly authentication cookie for the control panel (JWT), HTTPS only and only on the Service's API address, valid for 7 days;
• tuqo_cookie_consent: the cookie consent flag (localStorage);
• __Host-tuqo_access: a pass to a User's site with restricted access: httpOnly, HTTPS only, only on that site's domain; valid for no longer than the access period: up to 7 days when signing in with a password or a channel subscription, up to 30 days when signing in with an email code, with member sign-up and with paid access. It is set after a successful sign-in (password, code, confirmed subscription or payment) and is absent on open sites.

Functional:

• tuqo-theme: the selected color theme (localStorage);
• tuqo_ref: a partner code from a link like ?ref=… — a cookie on the tuqo.ru domain and its subdomains, valid for 60 days; it lets a sign-up be credited to the partner who referred the User; set only when following a partner link;
• tuqo_drafts: the list of Tuqo Drop drafts published from this browser (draft address, claim link, lifetime), so the claim link is not lost; kept in localStorage on the draft publishing page, at most 20 entries, expired drafts are removed from the list.

Analytics (Yandex Metrica):

• _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad, _ym_visorc: web analytics identifiers and parameters.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services: Yandex Metrica (analytics) and the OAuth providers (Yandex, VK) during sign-in. The Operator has no access to these cookies and does not determine their content; they are governed by the policies of the respective services.

5. Consent and control

On the first visit, a notice about the use of cookies is shown. By continuing to use the site or clicking “Accept”, the User gives consent. Necessary cookies are always applied, because the Service does not work without them. The User may delete cookies and block their storage in the browser settings; disabling necessary cookies will make it impossible to sign in to the control panel and will reset saved settings. Deleting the account does not delete cookies automatically.

Note for tuqo.dev: on this site continuing to browse does not count as consent — consent to analytics and the referral cookie is given only by clicking “Accept” and can be withdrawn at any time through “Cookie settings”; see the note above. The sentence above is the translation of the Russian original, which describes tuqo.ru.

6. Changes to the Policy

The Operator may amend this Policy. A new version is published at https://tuqo.ru/legal/cookie with its effective date indicated.
